Facial Rejuvenation

Addressing how the face changes with time - its firmness, support and volume - so you look rested, not different.

Treatment approach 01 of 08

What this approach is about

Facial Rejuvenation is about time: how the support, firmness and volume of the face change as it ages, and how to restore them without changing who you are.

01

What this approach addresses

  • Loss of firmness along the jawline and neck
  • Volume loss through the temples and mid-face
  • Deepening folds and lines of expression
  • Hollowing or heaviness around the eyes
  • A tired look that was not there before

Rejuvenation begins with understanding how your face is ageing: where support has receded, where the skin has loosened and where volume has moved. We think in layers and decide which of them genuinely need attention. The result should be that people notice you look well, not that you have had something done.

02

What we assess

  • Your pattern of ageing, layer by layer
  • Where laxity and volume loss sit
  • Skin thickness and elasticity
  • Facial movement and expression
  • Downtime, timeline and maintenance
03

Possible treatment options

Depending on how your face is ageing, a plan may involve lifting, tightening, collagen stimulation, careful volume restoration or softening of expression lines - rarely all of them, and never decided before the assessment. Technology is one of the ways these are delivered, alongside injectable treatment.

What a plan may include

  • Radiofrequency Skin TighteningRadiofrequency energy to tighten the skin and stimulate collagen.
  • Ultrasound Skin TighteningFocused ultrasound delivered to the deeper supporting tissues.
  • Subdermal Laser TighteningA fine laser fibre used beneath the skin to tighten and define.
  • Laser Skin ResurfacingControlled laser resurfacing to refine texture, fine lines and sun damage.
  • Dermal FillersPrecise restoration of volume and structure, and correction of certain scars.
  • Botulinum ToxinSoftening of dynamic lines and refinement of facial muscle activity.

Technology that may be used within the plan

Selected by your doctor after assessment, and only where it is clinically appropriate.

Facial rejuvenation does not always mean lifting. Sometimes the face looks tired because of pigmentation, uneven texture, enlarged pores or a deterioration in skin quality rather than significant laxity. In these situations, Sylfirm X may form part of a rejuvenation plan when the skin assessment supports its use. I decide between RF, ultrasound, laser, microneedling or other approaches based on what is actually contributing to the appearance. The goal is not to use more technology. The goal is to use the right technology.

    What should you realistically expect?

Change is gradual and cumulative. Most plans are judged over two to six months rather than after a single appointment, and the aim is that you look rested and well - not treated.

  • 05

    Downtime and recovery

Most treatments allow a return to normal activities the same day, with temporary redness or swelling. Minimally invasive tightening, or deeper resurfacing, usually needs a few quieter days, which we plan around your calendar.

  • 06

    When are combinations useful?

Combinations are useful because the face ages in layers: the deeper support, the firmness of the skin and the quality of its surface change separately. Treatments are sequenced rather than stacked, so each result can be assessed before the next step is decided.

    Results and maintenance

Collagen-led results develop over months and are maintained with periodic review, good skincare and, where appropriate, occasional maintenance treatment. Ageing continues, so the plan is revisited over time.
