Ultraformer MPT
Micro- and macro-focused ultrasound for selected lifting and contouring indications.
Selected by your doctor after assessment, as one part of a personalised plan.
What does it do?
Treatment depth and area are selected according to facial anatomy and the intended clinical objective. Focused ultrasound reaches the layers that hold the face up, encouraging them to tighten and remodel while the surface of the skin is left undisturbed.
How we decide
Ultraformer is chosen when the assessment shows that the supporting layers beneath the skin have begun to descend. It works at a depth that other non-surgical treatments do not reach - which is why it is so often one part of a plan rather than the whole of it.
Why we use it
Ultraformer is considered when focused ultrasound energy is appropriate for the patient’s anatomy and treatment goal. Before recommending it, I assess where the laxity is, the quality and thickness of the tissue, facial structure, and whether the patient needs lifting, contouring or another form of treatment. Not every face that asks for tightening needs ultrasound: in some patients RF, laser, Endolift or a combination makes more sense. The treatment is selected according to the face, not according to a fixed protocol.

Who is it suitable for?
Patients with early to moderate laxity along the jawline, neck or brow who would like lifting and tightening of the deeper tissues with little interruption to daily life. It is less suited to advanced laxity, or where the main concern is the skin surface.
Is Ultraformer MPT right for you?
May be considered when
- The supporting layers beneath the skin have begun to descend
- Definition along the jawline, neck or brow is the objective
- Little interruption to daily life is important
- A gradual result over two to three months is acceptable
May not be appropriate when
- Laxity is advanced and a surgical opinion is more honest
- The skin is very thin, or volume loss dominates
- The concern is the surface of the skin
- The patient is expecting the result of a facelift
This is decided at assessment, not in advance. Suitability depends on your anatomy, your skin and what you would like to change.
What concerns can it address?
- Softening of the jawline and lower face
- Laxity beneath the chin and along the neck
- Heaviness around the brow and upper eyelids
- Loss of definition in the mid-face
- Selected areas on the body

How long is a session?
A full face and neck commonly takes around sixty to ninety minutes; smaller areas take less. Many patients need a single session, with maintenance considered later.
- 05
What is the downtime and recovery?
Usually none beyond temporary redness. Mild tenderness, swelling or a feeling of tightness can last a few days.

What should you expect?
The change builds gradually over two to three months as the tissue remodels. Patients typically describe a firmer, more defined contour rather than a dramatic change.
Every patient is different. Your doctor will explain what to expect for your own treatment before it begins.
Combinations, and when it may not be chosen
It is frequently paired with skin-quality or radiofrequency treatment, because the deeper layers and the skin surface age differently. It may not be chosen where laxity is advanced, where the skin is very thin, or where a minimally invasive approach such as Endolift is more appropriate.
